I'm looking for my long lost cousins. I've sent out a request on the British website, genesreunited.co.uk to a lot of people that have a Lynn and Avril Morgan in their family tree, in the hopes of finding my cousins Lynn and Avril, whom I have never met. They are the daughters of my Dad's brother, Ivor Morgan.

Ivor was a wanderer. Dad's family had a hard time keeping track of him, he would disappear for several years and they would not hear from him, then he would suddenly show up on the doorstep of my Grandmother's house and stay for a few days, then disappear again.

He married a lady by the name of Margaret Molyneux and they had 2 daughters, Lynn and Avril Morgan, who I believe would have been born somewhere in the United Kingdom in the 1940's. Margaret had a son from a previous relationship; I believe his name is Brendon.

All Dad's other siblings, Kitty, Myra, Roy, Bridie and Yvonne and their families were all close, except this one brother, Ivor. My Dad's name is Maldwyn Morgan, but everyone knew him as Dink Morgan or Mo Morgan. He is deceased now.

My Dad and all his siblings were born in Wales; later all the family moved to London, except Kitty who was the oldest and had married.

Growing up my family always went to my Nana Mary Ann's (my Grandmother's) house for Christmas and my Dad's sisters and his brother, Roy, and their spouses and children, would gather there; it was always so much fun for my brothers David, Tim and I to play with our cousins, John, Stephanie, Clive, Alan and Gary; but Ivor and his children were never there.

Bridie didn't have any children and Kitty who had stayed in Wales, and her husband Leslie Roberts, on one very bitterly cold winter night, put their twin baby sons in bed between them to keep them warm, and during the night the covers got pulled up over the babies and they both suffocated. This would have been in the late 1930's, or early 1940's. Very sad.

Kitty and Les came up from Wales in 1950 when my brother David was baptized; Kitty knew that David had been named David, but wasn't aware of his full name, and at the baptism she started crying when she heard the minister say David's full name of David Maldwyn and my Mum found out later that was the name of one of Kitty's twins, 'cause Kitty had given her twin son David, her brother's (my Dad's) first name, Maldwyn, to David for his middle name.

I loved my Aunt Kitty and Uncle Les, they were a jovial couple, and as Kitty was the only one of Dad's siblings that had stayed in Wales she had this wonderful singsong Welsh accent.

She and my Uncle Les are deceased now, but I believe they are in heaven with their babies.

Anyway, I hope I have some luck finding my cousins.

It's a nice day here in the Sunflower State. Too nice to be inside an office.
